Job summary

University of Miami Health System invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine with a focus in Anatomic Pathology and Gastrointestinal pathology. FL license and ABP board certification or eligibility are required; additional boards are desirable.

Qualifications

• Must be MD/DO board certified or eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Clinical Pathology.
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Florida.
• Additional Board certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Patient care at UMH, JMH and satellites; gross description, sampling, microscopic examination, reporting, and coding verification.
• Perform Frozen Section diagnoses where applicable.
• Perform autopsies where applicable; 24-hour call coverage as assigned.
• Participate in resident and medical student education; collaborate on research and grants.
• Contribute to daily quality assurance and maintain accreditation standards.
