Huntsville Hospital seeks a Scheduler for the GI office to coordinate patient activities, including physician appointments, treatments, and endoscopies. The role verifies insurance coverage and acquires precertifications or authorizations as needed, while preparing daily surgical paperwork and documenting in the EMR with accuracy.

• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• One year of pre-cert/scheduling experience.
• Familiar with medical terminology.

• Schedule all patient activities (appointments, treatments, endoscopies).
• Verify insurance coverage for scheduled events and obtain precertifications/authorizations.
• Prepare daily procedure schedules (Surgical orders, H&P, pre-certs for Day surgery, admitting, endoscopy).
