Job summary

Merck is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in GI/IBD to drive scientific exchange, support research strategy, and engage with national and regional scientific leaders. The role requires a credentialed medical background and strong communication skills.

You will liaise between the scientific community and Merck to advance approved, in-development, and investigator-sponsored trials, while adhering to GMSA SOPs, GCP, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires PhD/MD/PharmD etc. with immunology/Ibd background.
• Proven ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of FDA/HIPAA/GCP and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Engages in bidirectional scientific exchange with national/regional GI/IBD SLs.
• Educates on Company-sponsored research, AOI, and trial concepts.
• Leads scientific congress support and insights gathering to inform strategy.
• Supports Site Initiation Visits and investigator-initiated studies as needed.
