Job summary

This role requires a credentialed physician-scientist or PhD with extensive immunology expertise. The MSL will liaison between the scientific community and Merck, ensuring access to company-approved information, guiding investigator-initiated studies, and supporting research and congress activities.

Qualifications

• Requires PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.
• 3+ years Immunology (IBD) experience beyond degree program.
• Strong written and verbal communication with external stakeholders.
• Thorough knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and pharma regulations.
• Proven ability to manage complex scientific discussions and projects.

Responsibilities

• Engage with national/regional GI/IBD scientific leaders to share approved medical information.
• Lead peer-to-peer scientific discussions and provide medical contacts within the company.
• Address questions outside scope (e.g., grants) and route to appropriate resources.
• Support scientific exchange, research planning, and investigator-initiated studies.
• Represent company at scientific congresses and gather insights to guide strategy.
