Merck & Co. seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director to lead scientific exchange and medical discussions within the Gastrointestinal Immunology program.

The role requires credentialing (PhD/MD/etc.) and a track record in engaging Scientific Leaders to exchange information about company programs and trials. The incumbent will cover MI, IN, and KY, reside in the territory, and help align external insights with internal research strategies and clinical development plans.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond the degree.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Strong focus on scientific education and dialogue.

Responsabilités

• Develops professional relationships with national/regional Scientific Leaders to provide approved medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains medical contacts within the company.
• Directs SL inquiries to appropriate resources following policies and SOPs.
• Maintains current knowledge of dynamic scientific environment in the AOI for the therapeutic area.
• Recommends study sites and investigators for clinical programs and involved in site initiation.
