Job summary

YPAI is seeking a German transcriptionist to verify and correct automatic transcripts for short German speech recordings. You will align transcripts with the audio in Praat, adjust word timings, and mark unintelligible sections without guessing.

This is a remote, invitation-only role with pay perio ds responsive to your country. Responsibilities include opening WAV files with TextGrid, ensuring exact timing, and delivering a corrected TextGrid per recording.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native command of German.
• A good headset and reliable internet.
• 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Open each WAV recording with its automatic TextGrid in Praat.
• Correct the transcript to match the recording, including incomplete words, invented words and single sounds.
• Check and correct the start and end time of every word and fragment.
• Leave pauses empty.
• Mark unintelligible passages. Do not guess words from context.
• Deliver one corrected TextGrid per recording.
