Job summary

YPAI is seeking a meticulous German transcription QA specialist to correct automatic transcripts and word timings for short German speech recordings using Praat. You will transcribe exactly what you hear, including repetitions, hesitations, incomplete words, invented words and single sounds; you will also mark unintelligible passages and deliver a corrected TextGrid per recording.

Open each WAV with its TextGrid, adjust start/end times for every word, leave pauses empty, and ensure every detail

Qualifications

• Native or near-native command of German.
• A good headset and reliable internet.
• 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Open each WAV recording with its automatic TextGrid in Praat.
• Correct the transcript to match the recording, including incomplete words, invented words and single sounds.
• Check and correct the start and end time of every word and fragment.
• Leave pauses empty.
• Mark unintelligible passages. Do not guess words from context.
• Deliver one corrected TextGrid per recording.
