Job summary

YPAI seeks a German transcription proofreader to check and correct automatic transcripts and word timings for short German speech recordings in Praat. Transcribe exactly what you hear, including repetitions, hesitations, incomplete words, invented words and single sounds.

Open WAV recordings with their TextGrid, fix transcript and timings, leave pauses empty, mark unintelligible passages, and deliver one corrected TextGrid per recording.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native command of German.
• Experience in transcription correction and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Open WAV recordings with their TextGrid in Praat and verify transcripts.
• Correct transcripts to match the recording, including repetitions and hesitations.
• Adjust start and end times for every word/fragment.
• Leave pauses empty and mark unintelligible passages.
• Deliver one corrected TextGrid per recording.
