Job summary

YPAI is seeking freelancers to perform meticulous correction of German transcripts for short speech recordings using Praat. You will open WAVs with TextGrid, align text and timings, and mark unintelligible passages while preserving all repetitions and sounds.

Work is invitation-based after profile review. The role requires native or near-native German, a good headset, reliable internet, and being 18+. Pay ranges from €20 to €28 per hour, with biweekly payments via PayPal, Wise, or bank transfer.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native command of German.
• A good headset and reliable internet.
• 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Open each WAV recording with its automatic TextGrid in Praat.
• Correct the transcript to match the recording, including incomplete words, invented words and single sounds.
• Check and correct the start and end time of every word and fragment.
• Leave pauses empty.
• Mark unintelligible passages. Do not guess words from context.
• Deliver one corrected TextGrid per recording.
