Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and ANCC certification as PMHNP.
• Active DEA license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient rounds and manage psychiatric care within SNF, LTC, AL, and IL settings.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, consulting specialists, referral sources, and facility staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Assess and manage residents' mental health needs, perform exams, and gather medical histories.
• Order and interpret lab tests, develop therapeutic plans for mental and physical health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments; provide injections as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on medications and care plans.
