Job summary

Majestic Care of Bedford is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, plan individualized OT treatments, and improve ADLs, mobility, and independence. The OT partners with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care in a geriatric setting.

Qualified candidates hold current OT licensure and have at least 2 years of experience in geriatric care, with a compassionate, evidence-based approach to support outcomes and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a long-term care or geriatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess residents’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial function.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), self-care tasks, functional mobility, and safety awareness.
• Implement occupational therapy interventions including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, adaptive equipment use, and task-specific activities.
• Monitor and document residents’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to support optimal outcomes.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercises, and strategies to promote independence and safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.
