Job summary

Majestic Care Goshen seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement individualized therapy for residents in a geriatric long-term care setting. The OT will focus on ADLs, functional mobility, and promoting independence within a compassionate, resident-centered framework.

The role requires state licensure and at least 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a long-term care or geriatric environment.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a long-term care or geriatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess residents’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial function.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), self-care tasks, functional mobility, and safety awareness.
• Implement occupational therapy interventions including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, adaptive equipment use, and task-specific activities.
• Monitor and document residents’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to support optimal outcomes.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercises, and strategies to promote independence and safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.
