Job summary

Engage Senior Therapy in Maine is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide individualized, evidence‑based care to a geriatric population across assisted living and dementia care settings. You will assess ADLs, mobility, safety, and cognition while fostering meaningful daily activities and strong resident relationships.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physical therapists, nursing, and families, documentation in EMR, and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active state OT license in good standing (or eligibility for licensure).
• Experience or interest in geriatrics, ADL training, and adaptive equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of ADLs, mobility, safety, and cognition.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve independence and quality of life.
• Provide hands-on therapy including ADL retraining, balance training, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
• Assess environmental safety and implement fall prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, nurses, and families for coordinated care.
• Maintain timely EMR documentation and progress notes.
