Job summary
HealthDrive is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to manage the medical needs of skilled nursing residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. You will diagnose and treat conditions, promote wellness, and serve as the primary contact for emergencies and routine visits.
The APRN will perform exams, interpret labs, oversee patient health, and participate in a 3-week paid training with mentorship.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Master’s Degree from an accredited program.
- State professional Nurse Practitioner license required.
- Board certification as an NP is required.
- DEA/Controlled Substances license required.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary, post-acute, and preventive care for residents in assigned facilities.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (blood work, X-rays).
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
- Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
- Prescribe medications.
- Maintain accurate records and schedules.
- Inform patients about health conditions and prescribed medications.
- Oversee patients’ overall health.
