Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Mental Health Technician to support a patient population across inpatient and crisis units under RN direction. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program or equivalent training, plus willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one of the following: PCT/CNA/MA program or equivalent medical/behavioral health training.
• Minimum one year of related health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitoring per RN direction.
• Assist with patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction in inpatient/acute care settings.
• Perform venipuncture and basic specimen collection as needed.
• Demonstrate teamwork in interdisciplinary care planning from admission to discharge.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient records.
• Adhere to unit policies and safety procedures.
