Job summary

HarborChase of Palm Coast is seeking a PRN Medication Aide to assist with medications and uphold state and federal regulations and the facility’s standards.

Responsibilities include checking the six rights of medication administration, documenting on the MOR, maintaining a neat med cart, responding to resident calls, and reporting any medication errors or adverse reactions, with preference for geriatric care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with state-specific training as required.
• Must obtain Continuing Education credits as required by state.
• Minimum of one year experience; geriatric care preferred.
• Good communication and data entry skills; able to use MOR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Checks six rights of medication administration three times during handling.
• Assists with medications to residents according to MOR.
• Documents clearly on the MOR after medication activity.
• Maintains a neat, organized med cart and restocks as needed.
• Responds to resident calls and respects rights to refuse treatment.
• Reports adverse reactions and medication errors immediately.
• Follows infection control and OSHA guidelines.
