Job summary

S&ME, Inc. seeks a motivated Project Engineer-Project Manager to join the Energy team in the Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina office. You will guide geotechnical and construction projects from subsurface exploration to construction support, and mentor staff while ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

The role blends engineering expertise with field presence and client interaction. Required is a Civil/Geotechnical degree with ≥4 years of relevant experience and a PE license or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional geotechnical/geostructural/construction experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical, construction, and special inspection projects from planning to execution.
• Evaluate field and laboratory data to develop site-specific recommendations.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders and provide updates.
• Prepare reports, proposals, and field documentation; mentor junior staff.
