Job summary

UES is hiring a Field Technician II to support engineering, environmental services, and materials testing. The role involves performing advanced field and lab testing, on-site inspections, and ensuring compliance with project specs and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically proficient, and comfortable working outdoors in dynamic environments. The position may involve mentoring junior technicians and occasional overnight travel to regional sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years field-based testing/inspection experience preferred.
• ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing certification preferred or obtainable within specified time.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates to specifications.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories, maintaining integrity.
• Maintain testing equipment and document results accurately for reports.
• Communicate field findings to dispatch, supervisors, and project managers in real time.
• Mentor junior technicians and promote safety and quality on site.
• Adhere to OSHA and client safety protocols and PPE requirements.
