Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking an Experienced CMT Field Technician to support engineering, materials testing and inspection projects. You will perform advanced field and lab testing, inspect sites, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.

The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Mentoring junior technicians and safety-focused teamwork are valued aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing certification preferred or ability to obtain within a specified time period.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to safely operate company vehicles.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Field Data Collection software.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories ensuring integrity.
• Maintain testing equipment per manufacturer and company guidelines.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation of test results.
• Communicate updates with dispatch, field supervisors, and project managers.
• Mentor and support junior field technicians as needed.
• Follow OSHA and client safety protocols and use PPE appropriately.
• Adapt to changing schedules including early mornings, weekends, or overnight travel.
