Job summary

UES is seeking an Experienced CMT Field Technician to support engineering, materials testing, and inspection projects. The role involves on-site field testing, lab coordination, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.

The position offers travel within the region and opportunities to mentor junior technicians. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of field experience, a focus on accuracy, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or coursework in construction, engineering, geology preferred.
• 3+ years of field-based experience in materials testing, construction inspection, geotechnical fieldwork, or related industry.
• ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing certification preferred or ability to obtain within a specified time.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Collect, label, and transport material samples to laboratories for analysis, maintaining sample integrity.
• Ensure testing equipment is properly maintained and functioning per guidelines.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation of test results, and submit to project managers and stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior field technicians, sharing field procedures and safety best practices.
