Job summary

GeoEngineers is seeking a Staff Geological Engineer or Engineering Geologist to support engineering geology projects, focusing on geological characterization, field mapping, subsurface exploration, and rock slope stability evaluations.

You will conduct field observations, document earthwork and foundation construction, and contribute to reports, figures, and numerical modeling. Travel up to 25% of the time may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering Geology or Civil, Geotechnical, or Mining Engineering required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Geologist-In-Training (GIT) certification.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work within a team.
• Proven problem solving and professional-level verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs geotechnical engineering activities with emphasis on geological characterization, field mapping, and rock slope stability analysis.
• Field explorations, mapping, earthwork, foundation construction, and coordination with project plans and safety guidelines.
• Prepares detailed field reports; coordinates field exploration and sampling; supports testing coordination.
• Performs analyses and calculations including slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, seismic evaluation using GeoStudio, RocScience, PLAXIS, FLAC.
