Job summary

GeoEngineers in Spokane, WA is seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to lead field exploration and observation for earthwork and foundation projects. You will also prepare field reports and perform analyses including slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, deep foundation design, and seismic evaluation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with at least two years of experience; travel domestically and driving are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; Master’s in Geotechnical or related field strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field exploration and observation of earthwork and foundation construction on projects of various sizes.
• Prepare field reports and perform geotechnical analyses (slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, deep foundation design, seismic evaluation).
• Gather field data and samples; coordinate testing as needed.
• Provide support to geotechnical teams at other locations as needed.
