Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Minneapolis, MN invites engineering interns to contribute to geotechnical design from concept to design completion, assisting lead engineers and supporting project tasks. You will compile boring logs and subsurface profiles, help plan subsurface explorations, and perform data analysis.

Applicants should be enrolled in Civil or Geotechnical programs with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Pursuit of Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with geotechnical design from concept to design completion.
• Compile boring logs and subsurface profiles.
• Plan subsurface explorations and laboratory testing programs.
• Support with project data collection and analysis.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and documentation.
• Participate in campus/community activities when possible.
