Job summary

HDR is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Transportation Business Group in NY/NJ.

You will perform geotechnical analysis and design for infrastructure projects, including slope stability, foundations, and ground improvement, under Senior Geotechnical staff.You will develop subsurface investigation plans, review boring logs and lab data, and prepare geotechnical reports while coordinating with project managers to meet project goals and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) or P.Eng is required.
• MS in Civil Engineering preferred.
• 5 years geotechnical experience incl. slope stability, foundations, and reports.
• Experience with GeoStudio, Ensoft, PLAXIS and Bentley geotech tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical analysis and design for roadways, bridges, and foundations.
• Develop subsurface investigation plans and review boring logs.
• Coordinate with project managers to meet goals.
• Prepare geotechnical reports and provide recommendations.
• Support field exploration programs and supervision as needed.
