HDR, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to develop and coordinate geotechnical field and laboratory investigations for transportation projects.

You will prepare proposals, analyze data, and ensure recommendations are reflected in design documents, while coordinating with clients and internal teams. The role requires a Virginia PE license (or ability to obtain within six months) and 4+ years in geotechnical consulting, with proficiency in gINT, Slope/W, LPILE, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) recognized by the licensing board for the position.
• Experience with geotechnical software and reporting.
• 4+ years of progressive geotechnical consulting experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and complete geotechnical field and laboratory investigations.
• Prepare proposals and reporting documents.
• Coordinate technical analyses for design and ensure recommendations are incorporated into project documents.
• Communicate with internal and external clients.
• Work with senior geotechnical engineers and team members to complete assigned work.
