Job summary

HDR is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Resources Business Group in NY/NJ. The role involves geotechnical analysis and design for infrastructure projects, including roadways, walls, bridges, and foundations.

Travel across New York and New Jersey for site visits, meetings, investigation layout, and observation. You will set up field exploration programs, coordinate with subcontractors, and conduct field inspections with senior staff guidance.

• Be capable of working independently or in a team environment assisting senior geotechnical staff.
• Perform assignments exercising judgement in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
