GEI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a motivated geotechnical professional for the Wakefield, MA office to work on transportation, infrastructure, buildings, dams, levees, and waterfront projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a wide range of experience.

Required is a BS in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus; MS is preferred. 0–3+ years of experience, excellent writing and communication skills, CAD knowledge, and a willingness to travel 25%+ are expected; valid driver’s license a

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical is required.
• MS in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
• 0 to 3+ years of experience; valid driver’s license; travel 25% or more.
• Excellent writing and general communication skills; CAD knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performing geotechnical field explorations and testing.
• Coordinating and interpreting lab test data.
• Developing spreadsheets and databases.
• Performing engineering analysis and calculations.
• Preparing technical memos, reports, and construction specifications.
• Observing and documenting construction activities.
• Preparing and modifying drawings using AutoCad.
