Job summary

GeoWorld's Bedford, New Hampshire office is searching for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager. In this role, you will manage a variety of transportation and infrastructure projects, including buildings and waterfront developments, and collaborate with teams to prepare technical proposals.

Applicants should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering with at least 8 years of experience, and ideally a Professional Engineer license in NH. The role offers a hybrid work schedule and comprehensive benefits including performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• 8 or more years of experience.

• Able to travel on temporary assignments as needed.

Job description

Your role at GEI. GEI’s Bedford, New Hampshire office is seeking an experienced senior geotechnical engineer / project manager to assist on a variety of projects throughout the region. Work will primarily focus on transportation and infrastructure projects. Projects may also include buildings, dams and levees, and waterfront development. Candidate will be responsible for managing projects, collaborating with team members to prepare technical and price proposals, managing subsurface explorations, preparing geotechnical reports, preparing technical specifications, and managing geotechnical construction observation assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and manage geotechnical engineering analyses and design.
• Manage projects including budget, schedule, and quality.
• Manage field explorations and construction activities.
• Coordinate geotechnical laboratory testing and interpret results.
• Coordinate preparation of reports and construction specifications.
• Prepare proposals and participate in business development activities.
• Attend project meetings and communicate with clients.
• Train and mentor staff.
• Collaborate with GEI staff and clients across various offices, regions, and disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering. M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• 8 or more years of experience.
• Professional Engineer licensed in NH or ability to obtain within 3 months.
