Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. in Madison, Wisconsin seeks a Staff Professional with civil, geotechnical, structural, or water resources engineering experience. Under supervision, you will support field and design/construction efforts for dams, landfills, foundations, tunnels, and sites.

Responsibilities include data management, report writing, site investigations, and collaboration with project teams. The position includes a field component with travel, and candidates should be prepared for varying

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Geotechnical/Structural Engineering; MS is a plus.
• Desirable E.I.T. and pursuit of professional registration.
• 0–4 years of civil/geotechnical/structural experience and consulting.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Proficient with engineering analysis software and MS Office.
• Experience with geotechnical analysis software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support field and engineering design and construction efforts.
• Assist with feasibility studies, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate soil borings, sampling, and geotechnical instrumentation.
• Prepare technical reports and client/regulator presentations.
• Perform construction observation and data collection for projects.
• Travel for field assignments; work in inclement conditions as needed.
