Job summary

UES is seeking a Geotechnical Driller to operate drilling equipment for exploratory boreholes and soil sampling to support geotechnical evaluations for construction projects. This role involves directing drilling crews, ensuring equipment readiness, and collecting samples in outdoor environments.

Extensive travel (up to 70%), outdoor work, and strict safety protocols are part of daily duties. A strong focus on accuracy and timely reporting is required to meet project specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5+ years of related experience.
• OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER, CDL, or Licensed Water Well Contractor certifications are a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and field data collection software.

Responsibilities

• Act as crew chief for a drilling crew, directing and performing drilling services and well installations.
• Oversee operation of testing and drilling equipment; ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated.
• Collect and test soil, concrete, and other materials to project specs.
• Complete and submit paperwork, reports, and presentations on time.
• Communicate with dispatch and field supervisors for status reports.
• Maintain assigned company vehicle and schedule maintenance.
• Report to sites on time and follow all safety protocols.
