Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Driller's Assistant to support geotechnical drilling operations, site investigations, and soil testing. You will operate drilling equipment, assist the crew chief, and help with equipment setup, maintenance, and documentation in outdoor field conditions.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and able to work outdoors in varying weather. Travel up to 70% and occasional overnight/weekend shifts may be required to support projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 40-hour training preferred; must pass and maintain OSHA 40HR certification.
• CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assist drilling crew with soil exploration, well installations, and site investigations.
• Operate and maintain drilling equipment; assemble/disassemble gear.
• Complete daily time and labor reports and project documentation.
• Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and functioning per policies.
