Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Driller's Assistant for field drilling operations in outdoor environments. The role involves physically demanding work, early starts, travel, and potential overnight stays as projects require.

You will assist the Driller/crew chief with soil exploration and geotechnical investigations, be on your feet around heavy equipment, and help keep operations moving safely and efficiently in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 40-hour training preferred; must be able to pass/maintain.
• CDL preferred or willingness to obtain CDL.

Responsibilities

• Collect and conduct testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials to project specifications.
• Ensure all testing equipment is functioning and calibrated.
• Operate drilling-related tools including pneumatic jackhammers and pressure washers.
• Perform manual labor: rig setup, site prep, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain and clean drilling rigs, trucks, and work areas to safety standards.
• Accurately complete daily time and labor reports and documentation.
• Maintain assigned company vehicles and schedule routine service.
• Report to job sites on time and follow all safety protocols.
• Adapt to changing schedules and travel as project demands.
• Travel to job sites within designated region, including overnight stays.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project goals.
