UES, through its GEOMAT unit, seeks a Driller’s Assistant to support geotechnical drilling operations, soil exploration, and site investigations. You will operate, maintain, and transport drilling equipment while following project specifications and safety protocols.

The role includes travel to multiple job sites regionally, manual drilling-related tasks, and strict adherence to safety standards. A high school diploma and OSHA training are preferred, with CDL or willingness to obtain beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Sciences Field Services preferred.
• OSHA 40-hour training preferred; must be able to pass OSHA 40HR certification.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and Field Data Collection (FDC) software or similar industry tools.

Responsabilités

• Collect and conduct testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials to project specifications.
• Ensure all testing equipment is properly functioning, maintained per company and manufacturer policies, and calibrated.
• Operate drilling-related equipment including pneumatic jackhammers and pressure washers.
• Perform manual labor tasks, including assembling and disassembling drilling equipment and site setup.
• Maintain and clean drilling rigs, trucks, and work areas to meet safety standards.
• Accurately complete daily time and labor reports and submit paperwork on time.
• Travel to job sites, adhere to safety policies, and record project details daily.
• Adhere to OSHA and workplace safety guidelines and adapt to changing schedules.
