Job summary

Testing Engineers & Consultants Inc is seeking a Geotechnical Driller to operate drill rigs and related equipment to obtain soil samples for engineering analysis. This full-time field role involves year-round outdoor work, travel to sites, and handling heavy lifting. CDL within 6 months, OSHA training, and safety compliance are required.

Prior drilling experience preferred. Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• CDL within 6 months of hire is required.
• Pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Operate drilling equipment (auger, mud, rotary, core, geoprobe) and ensure safe drilling operations.
• Drill samples with geoprobe, automatic SPT hammer, or cathead SPT hammer.
• Obtain and measure groundwater samples.
• Maintain drilling equipment, report issues to the drilling manager.
• Identify utilities and safety concerns; keep drilling logs and logs education as needed.
• Travel to drill sites; work year-round outdoors; lift up to 50–100 lbs as required.
