Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. in New York City is seeking motivated interns to assist with projects across the U.S. in Summer 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from our team and gain a wide range of experience in the fields of engineering or environmental science.

You will assist with analyses, computations, spreadsheets, drawings in AutoCAD, and with proposals, reports, data management, and field documentation. Travel may be required to support our projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in a technical degree program.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel on assignment, if needed.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to work in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering and/or scientific analyses and design.
• Perform computations, prepare spreadsheets, and prepare and edit drawings using AutoCAD.
• Assist with preparing proposals and reports.
• Assist with data management and analysis, and preparation of field documentation and reports
