Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Staff Civil/Structural Engineer to contribute to hydraulic and waterfront structure design, temporary works, foundations, and review of analyses, drawings, and specifications.

You will work under supervision on projects from preliminary to final design, performing calculations and preparing deliverables. The role involves onsite and field oversight, collaboration with the design and project management team, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• FE designation required; 1–3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical, structural, or waterfront work.
• Strong report writing and communication skills; travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Supporting evaluation and design for structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations and excavation support systems.
• Developing design deliverables from preliminary to final engineering designs; acting as project structural engineer.
• Performing engineering construction oversight of heavy civil and structural projects.
• Preparing and presenting technical results to internal teams.
• Supporting data management, analysis, and preparation of presentations for clients and regulators.
• Coordinating with design and project management teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
