Schnabel, Inc. is seeking a temporary full-time Civil Engineering intern for May–August 2027 to support geotechnical, geostructural, tunnel, and dam‑related projects.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering bachelor’s program.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong computer literacy.
• Ability to work under direction as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical field work including observing subsurface exploration, GPS layout of borings, and infiltration tests.
• Perform construction observation and materials testing at sites.
• Conduct laboratory testing as required.
• Create basic plans and figures using AutoCAD and GIS.
• Provide support to engineers on geotechnical proposals and reports.
• Some travel may be required.
