Job summary

Leidos is seeking a User Engagement Engineer SME for the Chinook Program. The role bridges users and tech teams to deliver intuitive geospatial intelligence solutions.

You will collaborate with mission stakeholders, system engineers, and developers to translate needs into actionable improvements. The ideal candidate has strong communication, systems thinking, and experience in enterprise or intelligence environments, with a focus on user adoption and mission effectiveness.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required for this contract.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geospatial Science, IT or related field with 12–15 years of experience or Master’s with 10–13 years.
• 8+ years of experience in user engagement, geospatial intelligence, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of geospatial intelligence systems, mapping tools, and geospatial data.
• Experience in user training, engagement, and support within complex technical environments.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience with agile methodologies and development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of user engagement strategies to enhance adoption and satisfaction for geospatial intelligence solutions.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders, mission owners, and technical teams to understand user requirements and workflows.
• Design and deliver user training, workshops, and sessions for varied user levels from operators to leadership.
• Gather and analyze user feedback, provide actionable insights for system improvements and new features.
• Champion human-centered design and advocate for excellent user experience across the program.
• Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and user story development.
