Job summary

Leidos is seeking a User Engagement Engineer SME for the Chinook Program. The role bridges mission users and technical teams to ensure geospatial intelligence solutions are intuitive and effective, with a focus on adoption and mission success.

Primary responsibilities include leading user engagement strategies, training delivery, and collaboration with Intelligence Community stakeholders, system engineers, and product teams, across multiple U.S. locations including Chantilly, VA.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12–15 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 10–13 years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in user engagement or geospatial intelligence.
• Strong knowledge of geospatial intelligence systems and mapping tools.
• Proven experience in user training, engagement, and support within complex technical environments.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Experience working with agile methodologies and understanding the development lifecycle.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with MS Project, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of user engagement strategies to boost adoption.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders, mission owners, and technical teams.
• Design and deliver user training, workshops, and sessions for all levels.
• Gather user feedback and provide actionable insights for improvements.
• Champion human-centered design and exceptional user experience.
• Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and backlog refinement.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and operational evaluations.
• Develop engagement strategies to expand adoption across the enterprise.
• Identify usability issues and recommend enhancements based on priorities.
• Present technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
