Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Services Project Lead to join our Geospatial Field Services team.

This role will support direction, coordination, implementation, execution, QA/QC, and completion of professional services while mentoring junior staff and driving client satisfaction and business development. Responsibilities include budgeting, scope language, managing project teams, schedules, profitability analysis, and maintaining quality standards across the survey group.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in surveying and/or private utility locating/SUE.
• Strong understanding of Private utility locating/SUE profession.
• Strong background in project management.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates scopes of work and creates budgets and proposal language.
• Effectively manages project teams, tasks, schedules, and resources.
• Manages project budget and analyzes profitability, revenue, margins, billing rates, and utilization.
• Leads meetings with project team to coordinate and evaluate progress.
• Drives innovation and cross-sells other Westwood services based on client needs.
• Establishes and maintains procedures and quality standards for the survey group.
• Staffing, utilization and workload planning for survey projects.
• Grows Westwood’s local and national survey presence with strategic pursuits.
• Supports business development by providing technical expertise and generating revenue.
• Mentors project staff and fosters a strong survey culture.
