Job summary

CobbFendley is seeking an experienced Geospatial Department Manager for our Houston, Texas office. The role emphasizes leadership, technical management, and client engagement across multiple geospatial disciplines.

The candidate will lead operations, people management, and safety/compliance, while ensuring high-quality delivery of survey and mapping projects. Hybrid work is available after onboarding and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or AS/BS in Land Surveying is preferred.
• RPLS registration in Texas with 10+ years of experience is required or highly desired.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Carlson, MicroStation, GeoPak, TBC, and Microsoft Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Department Manager Operations: oversee day-to-day operations, resources, and project coordination.
• Department Manager People Management: supervise staff, performance reviews, compensation, and recruiting.
• Department Manager Safety and Compliance: ensure safety and regulatory adherence across the department.
• Geospatial Discipline Technical: expertise in planimetrics, 3D DT, boundary work, GPS, and related geospatial tasks.
• Collaborate with professionals and clients to pursue project opportunities and maintain a healthy backlog.
