Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Senior Surveyor to lead field survey and geospatial projects for TxDOT, aviation clients, municipalities, and construction initiatives across Texas with our Geospatial team, helping expand Fishbeck’s presence in the state.

You will oversee data collection, plan crews and logistics, interpret legal descriptions and plans, perform complex computations, and integrate data from UAS, terrestrial LiDAR, and mobile mapping while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Surveying/Geomatics/C Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Surveyor in Texas or ability to obtain licensure.
• 5+ years of progressive surveying/geospatial experience.
• Strong background in boundary/topographic/construction/control surveys.

Responsibilities

• Lead field survey and geospatial data collection operations with focus on accuracy and safety.
• Plan projects, crew scheduling, resources, and logistics.
• Interpret legal descriptions, plats, and engineering plans for boundary and infrastructure work.
• Perform complex survey computations and data processing for various survey types.
• Integrate data from UAS, terrestrial LiDAR, and mobile mapping platforms.
• Review deliverables for compliance with TxDOT/FAA/municipal standards.
• Mentor junior staff and implement QA/QC procedures.
