Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a Geomatics Engineer to collect, analyze, and present geospatial data for wind, solar, and renewable energy projects. You will work under senior engineers, gradually taking on more responsibility and travel up to 25% across the United States.

The role offers remote work with structured growth, a focus on sustainable infrastructure, and opportunities to develop 3D models and simulations for site layouts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, Surveying, Geospatial Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in geomatics or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred or professional certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, boundary, and environmental surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments.
• Process and analyze geospatial data to produce maps, models, and reports for site planning and design.
• Assist in developing 3D models and simulations to optimize site layouts and assess environmental impacts.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and land use laws relevant to sustainable projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate geospatial data into planning, construction, and operations.
• Participate in client meetings to provide geospatial insights for site selection and assessments.
• Continue to develop technical skills through ongoing training in geospatial applications.
• Other duties as assigned.
