Job summary

Ormat in Reno, NV seeks a geochemist to support exploration, development and operations of geothermal resources worldwide. You will work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment and contribute to data interpretation and model development.

The role requires an MS or higher in a relevant field (PhD advantageous); proficiency with geochemical software and ArcGIS is preferred, with strong English communication skills and ability to work across field sites.

Qualifications

• Master of Science or Engineering in a relevant subject; Doctorate advantageous.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet.
• Experience with geochemical modeling software and ArcGIS preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe workplace with a goal of zero incidents.
• Prepares technical insights in reports and presentations using company tools.
• Manages data and information in company systems and databases.
• Provides geochemical support for exploration and production in geothermal resources.
• Coordinates field sampling and data analysis, including internal databases and models.
• Collaborates with other geochemists on project tasks and literature reviews.
• Supports onsite operations like well testing and stimulations as needed.
• Produces technical reports and reservoir monitoring summaries.
