Job summary
Ormat, headquartered in Reno, NV, is seeking a Reservoir Engineer to support exploration, development and operations of geothermal resources globally. The role offers a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment where you will build and review reservoir models, analyze data and contribute to strategic decisions for power plants.
You will work with geologists, project managers and field staff, prepare technical reports, and help optimize production, injection strategies and field performance
Qualifications
- Master of Science or Engineering in a relevant subject; Doctorate advantageous.
- Proficiency in Matlab and Python programming preferred.
- Proficiency with Volsung, TOUGH, TETRAD, CMG or similar tools required.
- Strong reading, writing and speaking English skills.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe workplace and drives safety with a zero-incidents goal.
- Develops and updates numerical reservoir models for fields.
- Reviews reservoir modeling results with engineering teams.
- Analyzes reservoir data, logs and tests to refine models.
- Evaluates performance and identifies optimization opportunities for fields and power plants.
- Prepares technical reports and presentations with accurate data.
- Collaborates with geologists, project managers and operations staff.
