Job summary

Ormat, headquartered in Reno, NV, seeks an accomplished geoscientist to lead exploration and development of geothermal resources worldwide. You will oversee conceptual models, integrate geochemistry, geology, geophysics, and well data to drive value across projects.

The role requires 10+ years in the geothermal value chain, field mapping, and proficiency with ArcGIS and other tools. Travel up to 30% and collaboration across operations, BD, and compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master of Science or Engineering in a relevant subject.
• 10+ years in geothermal exploration, development, and operations across full value chain.
• Field mapping and structural geology experience required.
• Experience with geophysical/geochemical surveys advantageous.
• PMI certification preferred (CAPM or PMP).
• Proficiency in MS Office and internet tools required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe workplace with zero incidents.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and mentor others.
• Develop conceptual geological models from diverse datasets.
• Plan directional wells with drilling engineers and project managers.
• Manage data and information per company standards.
• Prepare technical insights in reports and presentations.
