Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is seeking a Design Geotechnical Engineer to support large-scale energy projects across North America. You will perform geo-structural design, foundation and retaining wall analyses, and contribute to construction drawings under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.

The role emphasizes pre-construction investigations, numerical modeling, and collaboration with civil, structural, and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT or FE certification with licensure consideration.
• 1–4 years design experience in geotechnical/structural/transmission engineering.

Responsibilities

• Execute geo-structural engineering tasks using standard techniques and criteria.
• Perform analyses for deep foundations (helical piers, drilled shafts, micropiles, driven piles) and retaining structures.
• Model slope stability using limit equilibrium and finite elements.
• Collaborate with project-level and senior leadership across geotechnical, geological, structural, and civil teams.
• Support design production and development of construction drawings and specifications.
• Provide engineering support during construction and occasional site visits.
