Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is seeking a Structural Designer to support large-scale energy infrastructure projects across North America. You will develop 2D/3D models, produce detailed drawings, and contribute to structural and foundation design from concept to completion.

Work with in-house civil/structural teams, learn new software, ensure design compliance with standards, and communicate across disciplines. Travel occasionally; attractive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of drafting experience with civil/structural focus.
Minimum 2 years in the electric/power utility industry performing CAD/design.
Strong background in structural steel and reinforced concrete detailing.
Basic knowledge of ASTM, AISC and ACI standards.
Proficient with CAD software and MS Office.”

Responsibilities

Develop 2D & 3D models of structural framing and reinforced concrete.
Produce detailed drawings including plans, sections, elevations and details.
Support design production from project inception to completion.
Collaborate with engineers and multi-disciplinary teams.
Review structural drawings for compliance with design intent and specs.
Research catalogs, standards and reference material.
Demonstrate quality control and accurate workmanship.
Travel occasionally; work under supervision of Lead Designer or Engineering Manager.
