Job summary

Genworth Financial, Inc. is offering an IT Development Program Analyst role starting Summer 2027 in a hybrid setting based in Richmond, VA. The 24‑month program includes four six‑month rotations across IT disciplines, on‑the‑job training, formal coursework, and two IT Boot Camps.

Participants will gain exposure to application development, IT infrastructure, security, automation, data science, and project management while building a strong mentor network and attending on‑site classes.

Qualifications

  • Must graduate Spring 2027 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Computer, Systems, Electrical), Computer/Management Information Systems, or Mathematics.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Proven applied technology experience.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Nice to have: relevant internship or co‑op experience; multiple programming language skills.

  • Work in a fast‑paced, innovative, and change‑oriented environment.
  • Assignments focus on core IT processes such as application development, IT infrastructure, security, automation, programming languages, web development, system integration, data science, and project management.
  • Build a strong network of peers and mentors.

Position Overview

The IT Development Program cultivates and grows strong technical and analytical skills over a 24‑month period, beginning Summer2027. Compensation

Hiring rate: $74,000. This role is aligned to a national market‑based pay range. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, skills, and other job‑related factors. Eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
