Job summary

Genworth offers a Finance Development Program Analyst position starting Summer 2027 in Richmond, VA. This hybrid program includes two-to-three one-year rotations across finance, accounting, investments, and leadership development with formal training.

Participants will develop key financial expertise in the insurance sector, interact with senior leaders, and build a professional network while rotating through locations including Richmond and Stamford.

Qualifications

  • Graduating Spring 2027 with a valid degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Business Administration with a Finance/Accounting concentration, or Mathematics.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Basic Accounting classes completed.
  • Strong analytical ability and communication skills.
  • Geographic mobility to rotate into Stamford, CT or Richmond, VA offices.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in two-to-three, one-year rotational assignments across finance, accounting, investments, and leadership development.
  • Gain finance, investments, and accounting experience through classroom training and on-the-job projects.
  • Interact with Senior Leadership and peers to build lasting professional relationships.
  • Support financial planning, analysis, controllership, accounting & reporting, and investment operations across business units.

POSITION TITLE

Finance Development Program Analyst – Summer 2027

POSITION LOCATION

This position is hybrid and located in Richmond, VA. Candidates may be eligible for relocation assistance if they are not located in the area.

YOUR ROLE

At Genworth, we cultivate future business leaders in our highly competitive program for recent graduates with finance, accounting, economics, and mathematics degrees through our Finance Development Program. Beginning Summer 2027, this two-to-three-year program consists of two-to-three, one-year rotational assignments combined with formal classroom training in finance, accounting, investments, business strategy, and leadership development. Through involvement with our various business locations and product lines, participants will focus on the development of key financial and investments expertise within the insurance industry. Program Analysts will obtain finance, investments, and accounting experience. This could include financial planning and analysis, controllership, expense management, accounting and reporting, investment operations, as well as investments expertise in areas such as portfolio management, public and private asset credit research, alternatives, real estate, and trading.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Rate: $65,000

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in a bonus incentive plan. Incentive compensation is based on individual and company performance and is not guaranteed.
